Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates from a beautiful sandstone building dating back to the 1830's. Classified by the National Trust, "Rockend" is where A.B.'Banjo' Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.

Situated within 5 acres of parkland the restaurant is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the water, making it ideal for garden ceremonies.

Old-World Charm. Sweeping Water Views.

Immediately below the cottage, on the foreshores of the Parramatta River, is a substantial tidal jetty suitable for all types of boats, also allowing access for water taxis which is a lovely way for the bride & groom or guests to arrive or depart.

The adjoining car park has room for over 50 cars. The restaurant's old-world charm is highlighted by several open fireplaces and the views from our 2 spacious, fully enclosed verandahs are stunning.

With a kitchen and cellar that have resulted in Banjo Paterson Cottage receiving numerous awards, your food and beverage requirements will be more than adequately satisfied.

Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates as a fine dining restaurant that also specialises in functions for all occasions, whether intimate dining for two, family gatherings, corporate functions or weddings. We pride ourselves on our service, attention to detail, quality and choice of cuisine whilst working with you to make your special event truly unique.

We had our Wedding Ceremony in the garden outside, then had our photos taken down by the water and then the Reception in the Cottage Restaurant. The water views were excellent, the food was superb and the service was second to none. Lots of guests said it was the best wedding that they had ever been to and we had the best day eve."
