Onion cream, braised spinach, roasted capsicum, red wine and bone marrow jus

Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates from a beautiful sandstone building dating back to the 1830's. Classified by the National Trust, "Rockend" is where A.B.'Banjo' Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother.

Situated within 5 acres of parkland the restaurant is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the water, making it ideal for garden ceremonies.

Old-World Charm. Sweeping Water Views.

Immediately below the cottage, on the foreshores of the Parramatta River, is a substantial tidal jetty suitable for all types of boats, also allowing access for water taxis which is a lovely way for the bride & groom or guests to arrive or depart.

The adjoining car park has room for over 50 cars. The restaurant's old-world charm is highlighted by several open fireplaces and the views from our 2 spacious, fully enclosed verandahs are stunning.

With a kitchen and cellar that have resulted in Banjo Paterson Cottage receiving numerous awards, your food and beverage requirements will be more than adequately satisfied.

Yet nothing was too much trouble. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive, the food was delicious, and our every need was catered for - it was faultless. I just wanted to say thank you for a lovely experience today when we ate at your restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful, the service was better than anywhere I have eaten.
